UTC Warrington Students Visit Gallaway’s Pyramid Arts Centre Project

Gallaway Construction was appointed as the principal contractor for the transformative refurbishment of Pyramid & Parr Hall - a prominent Grade II listed cultural venue at the heart of Warrington.

This landmark project aimed to enhance the building’s structural, mechanical, and electrical performance while preserving its historic fabric and continuing its role as a vibrant performance and community space.

About UTC Warrington

UTC Warrington is a university technical college for students aged 14–19, specialising in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. The college works in close partnership with local employers, including Gallaway Construction, to provide young people with the skills, experience, and confidence they need to succeed in technical careers.

By engaging directly with employers and visiting live sites, students gain valuable insights into how classroom learning translates into real-world applications—helping them make informed decisions about their futures.

The Benefits of Site Visits

For Gallaway, initiatives like this are a key part of our commitment to developing early talent and promoting careers in construction. Site visits give students the chance to:

Experience the scale and complexity of modern construction projects.

Learn about health and safety practices essential to every build.

Understand the wide range of career pathways within the industry—from engineering and surveying to design, project management, and skilled trades.

See the impact construction has on local communities, particularly through projects that enhance cultural and public spaces like the Pyramid Arts Centre.

Inspiring Local Talent

Gallaway is proud to support local education and help nurture the next generation of builders, designers, and innovators.
