Gallaway Completes 4-Week Key4Life Programme at HMP Forest Bank

Gallaway Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of a 4-week Key4Life programme at HMP Forest Bank, led by our Office Manager, Siobhan Robinson. This programme is a continuation of Gallaway’s Prison Leaver Scheme, designed to provide training, mentorship, and employability support to individuals transitioning from prison back into the workforce.

Supporting Reintegration Through Construction

The programme focuses on equipping participants with the skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful careers in construction. Gallaway has previously supported several prison leavers into employment through our supply chain, including placements on our Dryclough Manor project, while also assisting participants in obtaining the qualifications required to work safely and effectively on construction sites.

This work is crucial in supporting the reintegration of marginalised groups, who are often at higher risk of unemployment and homelessness upon release. By providing practical skills, mentoring, and exposure to real work environments, the programme helps participants build sustainable futures.

Ongoing Commitment and Future Placements

Following the programme, Gallaway will be offering several prison leavers from HMP Forest Bank short-term placements on our sites, while continuing to provide ongoing mentorship. This approach ensures participants not only gain hands-on experience but also receive guidance and support as they progress towards long-term employment.

Gallaway is committed to creating positive social impact through the Prison Leaver Scheme and is proud to play a role in transforming lives, opening pathways into meaningful careers, and demonstrating the construction industry’s potential as an inclusive sector.

Building Futures Together

Through initiatives like the Key4Life programme, Gallaway continues to advocate for greater inclusion of ex-offenders in the construction industry, helping participants rebuild their lives while strengthening communities and delivering tangible social value.
